Yesterday was a beautiful day for a first ride. Yes, I can still ride a bike. Yes, I rode farther than intended. Yes, I climbed a hill. Yes, I am in better condition overall than I thought I would be.

The Good: legs are still strong, I can sit on the saddle without too much discomfort (always an early season issue), my body fell right into rhythm on the couple small hills and overall I can still ride a bike!

The Not So Good: my hands were numb periodically (MS or sleeping on same side for 6 weeks?), did I have my lungs removed?, did I have my circulatory system down graded? Whew, I really have some work to do there, but it’s workable.

This morning I did a check to see what was stiff, sore, or just not feeling right and the good news is nothing’s different than what I’ve experienced after a longer, harder ride.

I’m back in the saddle!

Have a wonderful weekend!
