This will be the first time I’ve been able to travel since January. I haven’t had to think of what to wear beyond a couple garments (t-shirts and sweats), so it will be different. I always start with the shoes, because they take up the most space and if I’m walking, I won’t have a chance to go home and change them.
It feels like a mundane task, but everything now comes with the moniker ‘after cancer’ or ‘cancer survivor’ or better yet, ‘I haven’t done this since I found out I had cancer.’ Weird.
I guess it shows how how much we label things.
