I’m off drugs, even over-the-counter. I’m now able to notice how I feel without something masking any discomfort. Yesterday I went to my second gentle yoga class and felt stronger. I didn’t have the moments of ‘lost in space’ during the class and I could balance better. Make no mistake, the wall is still my best friend. And that’s before this whole thing with cancer surgery!!!

I still can feel a deep, dull pain where the surgeon mentioned there was a ‘big’ stitch to prevent a hernia. Other than that, I don’t have any pain on a regular basis. When I dropped the naproxen last weekend, I wasn’t sure what I would find. I’m pleasantly surprised to find most of the surgical healing is complete. Now I need to get back to my regular conditioning and strength.

This week I plan to get on the road on the bike. It will be interesting to see how I do on baby hills. Mileage will be short, but I’ve lined up friends to go with me the whole way. I’m not confident I can change a flat just yet!!
