Years ago when I decided I needed to do something different for a career I decided to start a company. What followed was a long and winding journey of learning.
At this conference I am finding I have a voice that isn’t usually in the room. Someone who has actually started “something from nothing.” It’s a challenge for educators who have an existing environment in which they work and all it’s traditions and processes. Entrepreneurship inherently is unique for every entrepreneur.
Then you add the layers of how it’s different for women, read more challenging or difficult. For those who wonder what that means, just ask any professional woman who has been working for a few years about the times that she’s had to ask her self “Did that just happen?”
My journey of entrepreneurship prepared me well to face the unknowns that a cancer journey includes.
