What Will Be Your New Habits after the Corona Chaos?

With the Corona Chaos, you have a once in a lifetime opportunity to change your habits. It’s the perfect time to make changes in where you want to be and to do things differently.

For many people, the coronavirus is the kick in the pants they need to break out from the things they don’t like about their life and try new options.

Today is the time to start thinking like an entrepreneur.

That doesn’t mean you need to start a company. It means that you need to be intentional about what you want.

If you are like so many people, you are no longer doing what you used to do. You are no longer driving to work or working in the same way with the same people. You’ve changed how you spend your evenings and weekends. So much has changed.

But are you taking advantage of this disruption to change and bring more of what you want into your life?

I’ve just finished reading Mini Habits by Stephen Guise. It’s a fun little book with a great premise. If you break down what you want to do into something incredibly small, you can trick your mind into doing it. When it is a super small task, you don’t need much motivation or willpower to do it. After taking the action for a while, it becomes a new habit.

According to Guise, “A mini habit is a very small positive behavior that you force yourself to do every day; a mini habit’s “too small to fail” nature makes it weightless, deceptively powerful, and a superior habit-building strategy.”

Now is the time to make new habits. It’s a great time to intentionally look at what you do and question it. Is it serving me? Is it helping me become who I want to be?

These questions only make sense if you know what you want.

If you are not clear on what that is, by all means, take advantage of the free time you have now to look at what you want to change.

Now is the time to build your new life so that when things return to normal, your new normal is more of what you want.
