In Search of Perfection
Have you ever wanted to be perfect or have a situation turn out perfectly?
What is perfection? It implies once it is reached, there is nothing better, no way to improve upon it. Doesn’t that depend on the person’s perspective?
We’ve all be in situations where the temperature is just right for us, only to have someone adjust the thermostat to meet their needs.
When we strive for perfection, we miss out on the aspects of life that give it depth and color. We may want perfect kids, perfect homes, perfect friends, but then we miss out on the fun experiences that spontaneously happen from deviations away from our perfect something.
Instead of perfection, think of fabulous.
A fabulous outcome can have good parts and some not so good parts. It is in our acceptance of all the parts that make it fabulous.
