To See and Not Judge
You will see things more clearly if you learn not to judge.
We are born to judge. We compare things without any effort. This one is taller. This one tastes better. We judge everything so automatically.
We make choices based on judging one outcome over another. Yet we run into trouble when we judge based on a subjective scale.
This one is good, that one is bad.
When we judge something, we automatically put a label on it. It becomes what we’ve labeled it. It transforms based on our judgment.
The same is true when we judge ourselves. We judge our thoughts and our actions – sometimes much more critically than necessary.
With practice, we can begin to view things including ourselves as they are – without judgment and labels – and accept them for what they are.
