What Are You Asking For?

by | Jul 21, 2020 | From the YCC book

When you say you want some ‘thing,’ it is much more than the ‘thing.

Say you want a new car. It’s not just the new car you want. It’s the feeling of getting a new car and driving along your favorite road. It’s the joy of talking about your new car with friends and family. It’s the satisfaction of looking in your garage and seeing the results of your efforts.

When you want something and set it as a desire, the Universe recognizes the larger ask. It recognizes all the emotions and feelings related to the ‘thing’ you want.

The car is just the symbol of all those emotions and feelings.

Sure, you want the car to drive and to experience. But if you could get those same feelings without the car, would that work as well?

When you think about what you want, think about the whole emotional package behind your ask.
