Perspective. Have You Taken Time To Check In With Yourself?
I just finished watching a video of a presentation we gave about how to be your own best friend. The presentation was earlier this year, and I found myself engaged in what we were talking about. When it was over, I thought about the amount of progress we’ve made since we started You Can Choose several years ago.
In the last few years, we’ve been able to figure out how to apply the material and present it at conferences, videos, and presentations around the world. We now have tools that we wished we had available to us when we were younger. And the best part is we get to use the tools all the time.
So why am I writing about perspective today? Because when you take a step back to look at where you are and compare it to where you’ve been, you get a chance to check in to see if you are making progress toward the place you want to go.
Watching the video of the material Peter and I shared with the audience helped me to see that we have made some great progress and it felt good to feel the energy we shared in the video. Even I wasn’t bored watching it!!!
As you’re reading this ask yourself – Am I making progress toward the future I want for myself?
The answer is less important than asking the question…and then taking a moment to ponder your answer to understand both where you are and where you want to go.
