Ask What It Means, Not Why
When something happens to us, our first reaction usually is to ask, “Why me?”
Why did that guy just cut me off? Why did I miss the meeting? Why is it so busy here?
We wonder why things happen to us. A better question to ask is, “What does it mean to me?”
What are your thoughts, beliefs, and feelings about getting cut off or missing a meeting?
If things in your life are chaotic and crazy, how reflective is that of your mental state?
Take time to examine your thoughts when you can find some quiet space.
